Our Flowers

Well, we've done alot with our landscaping in the last few years. And last fall, my mom helped us plant some daffodils and tulips. They look amazing! I'm so thankful to finally have landscaping done - it's been a long haul, but I'm glad that we've finally got something. Now I have to start landscaping the patio we put in last fall. Once I have something in, I'll post pictures!

The daffodils - they sprouted and were so colorful!
My tulips quickly followed. They are bright and HUGE! They are so tall!

Finally!

Well, we've been a little busy lately. My students finally graduated. I had a busy week at work last week getting them past the finish line.

Below is a picture of Travis and me at the bar after my students' celebration dinner. Hopefully I'll get a few other pictures of us that look better than this one - but this is all I had of the two of us. It was a formal event, and I even donned a dress (yes somewhat unheard of) and Travis sported a tux. We had a good time.

Happy Easter!

Olivia had a few baskets to open on Easter morning. She had one basket that the Easter bunny left from Grammie's house and then one that was left at our house!

Olivia enjoying her bounty! She is one of those girls who is into all kinds of fun stuff! She likes the cars from the Disney movie and got Lightening McQueen and the Hudson Hornet. She also got some My Little Ponies and a few movies. And of course a few small pieces of candy and a "brick" as she called it - it was a Dove chocolate Easter Bunny. She doesn't know a good thing when she sees it!

Enjoying a breakfast treat on Easter morning - donuts!
We went to church, and Julia & Jimmy were also there! We even got the kids to sit together for a picture!

Then we went over to Papa & Grandma's house for dinner. The kids all played on gator. Liv was being a little bit cranky for a while, but after she got to ride in the gator, she was all smiles!

Easter Egg Coloring

04.11.09

This is the first year that we have colored Easter eggs. We missed on going out to see the Easter Bunny (but he's kind of creepy anyway). So, on Saturday, we colored eggs. This is the first time I've ever attempted to do eggs, and I think we did a pretty good job. Olivia had fun dipping them into the colors. And she was amazed when she got them out that they all had writing on them! I had written our names (and the dogs' names) on them all with the wax crayon before we began coloring.

Detroit Tigers - Opening Day 2009

04.10.09
Olivia likes to show her colors for her teams. On Tiger's home opener, Olivia sported her Tiger's cheerleader uniform to school! She gets a lot of cute hand me downs from cousin Julia. Aunt Kate even made Olivia some new hair bows for the Tiger season!

The Funniest Girl! 04.08.09

Olivia was a complete crack up the other night at dinner. We were done eating, and she just started being such a comedian. In the videos below, you'll notice that I occasionally had a difficult time keeping the camera still.

Play-doh date

03.31.09

Olivia and I had a fun Play-doh party. When she got home from school, she really wanted to play with her play-doh - which I'm not a HUGE fan of. But she enjoys it and actually she cleans up pretty well too. So I can't complain too much.
