Happy Labor Day!

We had a Labor Day cookout at our house with family. Olivia decided to have some fun playing in the dirt - she reminds me of myself at that age. I loved to play in the dirt and we have a LOT of pictures of me all dirty!

When it started to cool off, she decided to put her shirt back on - thank goodness! Then she was all smiles riding her bike. Her Papa was the one responsible for the smiles below!

Blue suckers!

Last week, Olivia and I went to the jewelry store to get my rings cleaned and dipped. Travis used to work there, and they are just the best people. The owners were so glad to see Olivia, and they gave Olivia a ring pop. Olivia thought it was the coolest thing - wearing it on her finger! Her mouth turned all blue and her teeth too! Here are a few photos.

Great Grammie's house!

Tonight I took Olivia to see her Great Grammie. We had a good visit - as we always do. Olivia knows where Grammie keeps her "snacks" - AKA cereal. She also knows where to find the dolls and the ducks. She loves riding in the elevator at her place too. This time she wasn't shy at all with the other residents. She usually acts shy when people talk to her, but not this time - she carried on conversations with these people! So cute!

Here is Liv having a snack of raisins and cereal.

And a picture of Olivia in Grammie's rocking chair.

You can't see it too well in this picture - but Olivia decided to draw on her legs with a pen she found. It all happened so quickly - I was looking through photographs with Grammie and Olivia just picked up a pen and started drawing....on her legs! Grammie asked me "You don't mind if she draws on herself, do you?" It was cute - and messy. But cleaned off easily. When we got home, she couldn't wait to show Daddy! She kept saying "My legs - I draw". Very creative!

Grammie checking out Liv's drawings
A great picture with Great-Grammie.
Lots of hugs and kisses for Great-Grammie. I love how Olivia always grabs the face of whomever she is kissing!

Fun with my cousins!

Olivia loves to spend time with her cousins, Julia & Jimmy. Last weekend, the kids all spent the weekend with their Grammie & Poppi. On Saturday night, they all came to our house and the girls had a sleep over.

Here are the girls after bath time - sharing Olivia's chair.

Miss blue eyes!
The three kids together. They all play so well together and have such a great time!
And here's a cute video of the kids being silly. Listen to what Julia says at the end!

Did she just say "Hi BOYZ"?!?! She's silly!

Night Time with Daddy!

Olivia is such a daddy's girl. She has gotten where she only wants daddy to read her stories at night - and daddy to rub her back at night to put her to sleep. They love to read about the monkeys jumping on the bed and she loves to have nursery rhymes sang to her. And if you try to read them - she'll tell you "SING"!!!

BIG girl!

Well...our baby isn't a baby anymore! We decided to change the crib over to a toddler bed. She hasn't tried to jump out and we figured it was a wise idea to change it before she does and gets hurt. This proved to be a good idea - because even though she can get in and out easily on her own now - once she's down for bed - she doesn't try to get out! It's actually kind of funny - we expected that we'd have a week of getting her to go back into her bed as she climbed out - but she hasn't tried yet. As you can see she LOVES having a big girl bed. When I asked her if she was ready, her response was "I'm ready!" She kept repeating it!
She kept asking us to "close it"!

She was so excited about it - she got a little goofy!

Here she is dancing with excitement!

This is what I get when I ask for a smile!

Olivia's new toys!

Olivia got a lot of great new things for her birthday! She has been enjoying her new things so much, that she didn't notice that I packed up about half of her old stuff and put it in the basement!

Here is Olivia playing with her new crib that she got from Aunt Marcy & Uncle Chuck. This was a crib that Aunt Marcy had as a little girl and she gave it to Olivia. She has been enjoying moving the crib around the living room. She also got a baby pack-n-play from Grandma Betty. She will put her babies inside, sit between the two cribs and read to them. She has been loving her new babies!
Olivia got a new music box from Aunt Joyce & Uncle Ed. This is Olivia's first music box and she LOVES it! She loves to watch the prince and princess dance!
We got Olivia a bike for her birthday and of course all of the necessary safety gear. She actually loves the helmet! She's silly!
She also got a Cinderella bubble machine from Aunt Diane & Uncle Bob. She is bubble crazy. This is so much better than blowing bubbles from a bottle. We just turn it on and the fun begins!
Olivia loves her daddy! I just thought this was a cute picture of the two of them!
