Brownies

I made some brownies and Travis and Olivia licked the bowl clean! Olivia thought that this was a ton of fun! She's such a goof!

She's funny....and we're in trouble...

Olivia has been quite the goof lately. She's been saying the funniest things. For example, she's all about the stall tactics for bed time. We've had all kinds of things in her room from wicked witches to alligators. And we need to get rid of them - usually we just throw them out the window. She's also working on potty training, so she uses that as a stall tactic too.

The other night when she was almost ready for bed, then decided to use the potty, Travis said "She's starting to use this now as a stall tactic" and when he got into the bathroom after her (as he was saying this), Olivia responded with "Whatever Dad". Ugh....I just can't believe that she already understands the use of this word. At least she's not throwing the "w" with her hands at us yet.

Liv also uses the term "just like that" a lot. She uses this as she is telling us about her day and what happened. She'll tell us, I was playing, and I fell, and I cried, booo hooo "just like that". It's pretty funny.

And, unfortunately, as her vocabulary improves, we're losing some of the funny phrases. Just this weekend, she quit saying "Wizar da boz" and started saying "Wizard of Oz". It actually made me a little sad.....I really enjoyed her saying the "Wizar da boz". I'll miss that one.

Very busy week...

This last week, we have been very busy. My mom had a hysterectomy on Friday, February 13 (yeah, probably not the luckiest day to have surgery), but she is doing great! She even went out to dinner last Friday! We're so thankful that she's feeling so well.

On Sunday, we got together with my mom's side of the family (minus silly Uncle Chuck) to celebrate February birthdays. We went out to dinner and had fun watching the kids entertain back at my moms. Check out my sister's blog here to see pictures. Between the two of us - one of us always has our camera.

Valentine's Day

We spent Valentine's day with my sister and her husband and our Grammie. The kids always have so much fun playing together. They wanted to watch the Wizard of Oz (or as Liv says, the "Wizar da Boz". Below are the kids sitting, watching the movie!
This must have been when the Wicked Witch appeared.
Jimmy has the prettiest eye lashes!

Grammie enjoyed snuggling with her Great-Grandchildren during the movie.

Valentine's Fun

Olivia enjoyed putting her Valentines together this year. She had Tinkerbell valentines (big shock).

She takes after her daddy - she's definitely a lefty!

Below is Olivia getting ready for school on Friday. Grammie got her a new sweater to wear. She also had an outfit from Grandma Betty that she wore on Saturday. She was definitely outfitted for Valentine's Day!

blog backgrounds

Okay - so I changed my background again - usually my sister is the only one who notices. But I found another great site for blog backgrounds, and thought I'd share it - along with a few others I've found.

Potty Training

Okay - we've been super busy lately...sorry for the lack of posting. We're also working on potty-training - so no need for photos of that. After a weekend with cousin Julia, Olivia decided she wanted to wear her big girl panties all the time! So, that worked for a little while, but she didn't mind "going" in them. So, now we're just working on shorter bursts of time in them and trying to encourage her to use the potty. We have the sticker chart, which in turn can earn her prizes.

Right now her prizes are pretty big - they are the "decoration" that we bought for her room. Instead of putting prints on her walls, we decided to get her the porcelain dolls. Actually, her Poppi found one and bought it for her, and she LOVED it - so then the hunt was on the find the rest! Poppi found one more and then Travis found the rest. So, we gave her one after she consecutively used the potty. And then we told her that she could get another one (Tinkerbell, herself) if she would just go #2 on the potty. Well, yesterday when she got home from school, the first thing she had to tell me was that she put her poopy in the potty at school! Big excitement in our house, and Olivia is the proud owner of a pretty tink doll. :)

We'll see how it goes. Sorry for the lack of pictures...but didn't figure you wanted pictures of any of this! :)
