Wacky Wednesday

At Olivia's school, last Wednesday was "Wacky Wednesday". They were told to wear wacky clothes, hair, etc. So, we did our best!

She is wearing a pair of plaid choral shorts, a blue/green print top with a pink polka-dot sweater. She also has one red sock and one green sock. Then to top it off, we put 6 (I think) pony tails in her hair, and various colors/styles of clips! It was quite the statement!

The other day, Olivia wanted to help move the sprinklers with Travis. She decided to run through it and had a LOT of fun!

4th of July weekend

On Sunday, July 5th, we celebrated the holiday with friends at Jamie & Rick's house on the lake. The kids had a GREAT time!

We started off playing in the water!
Then we moved inside, and the girls had a dance party! Rick put on some Michael Jackson tunes, and the girls went crazy! They had so much fun!

Happy 4th of July!

Olivia sported a new look for school on Friday, July 3! She wanted her hair done like cousin Julia's - in braids! It was the first time we tried it with Olivia's hair - which is still pretty thin - and it turned out pretty good! She LOVED it!

She has her mother's voice....

Olivia LOVES to sing! Her favorite songs are ones that she knows from movies. Here she is singing in her pajamas one morning. She is so cute!

Vegas Vacation

Travis and I had a great time earlier this month on our little Vegas getaway. We met 15 of my students that graduated in May there for a graduation celebration. We had a great time!

The first night we were there, we went to go see Le Reve, and it was AWESOME!!!

The next day we went on a venture down the strip, we had lunch at Serendipity 3, and had an AMAZING shake! Yum!

This was the night of the Red Wings hockey final game. We watched the game in the Wynn sports book. I ended up leaving and going with a group to see Blue Man Group, but Travis stayed to watch the rest of the game with the other "die hards"!

Too Cute!

How is my baby this big!?!?! I just can't believe how big she is looking lately.

And she's been saying some rather funny things lately. Yesterday Travis had gone to help his dad hang doors in his new house, and Olivia said to me, "When my daddy comes back home, I'll be so happy...right now I'm sad." It was cute!

Later when we were out playing on her new swingset (pictures to be coming in the next week, after we finish the landscaping around it. She said "Mom, there's a snake on my castle" and I looked, and there was a caterpillar on it. I told her it was just a caterpillar, she said "a calapillar"? I said it to her a few more times hoping she'd catch the "T" but she didn't, she'd just repeat "calapillar"! Too cute!

She was looking exceptionally cute getting ready for school this morning - so I asked Travis to snap a few pictures of her. As you can see she was in a great mood too! So cute!! I love these shorts, they came from Meris - my friend's daughter. And the t-shirt under her sweatshirt came from cousin Julia. We get so many cute hand-me-downs! We are lucky!!
