Daycare goes to Florida!

I will try to post the pictures from our REAL trip to Florida over the weekend, however, yesterday Olivia's daycare did a trip to Florida! Here are the pictures of Olivia from her fun time!

Here is Olivia hanging out at the Bait Shop!
Olivia, deep sea fishing!

And here she is surfing with a friend!

And here is Olivia realizing that this is really not as cool as her real trip to Florida and the beach last weekend!

Daycare

Sorry for the lack in posting and pictures - it's not because we're not taking pictures, it's that I don't have enough time in the day to get everything done. :)

We are fortunate to have a wonderful daycare for Olivia. She loves it there, and most mornings can't get away from Travis quick enough to go play. They take pictures of the kids during the day - and I just received the following pictures this weekend.

Below is Liv playing with snow that was brought inside. They have a "sensory table" that they play with all kinds of things in so they brought in snow when it was too cold to go out and play in it. Here is Liv on another day, when it was warm enough to go out and play in the snow! She loves the snow and loves to play in it.
Here is Olivia climbing the hill. They told us that most of the kids gave up afer a while of failing to climb the hill, but Olivia would not give up. I'm not sure how she got so bull headed?!?!?
And again, on the hill - taking a break before she heads to the summit!
When you make it to the top - you get to get in a sled and ride back down!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMIE MAGGIE!!!

Today is Grammie Maggie's birthday - it's a BIG one! We'll be celebrating this weekend!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMIE!!!

I don't have any major updates on Olivia (and no pictures). She is doing really well - she had a great time last weekend spending the entire weekend with Aunt Kate & Uncle Kurt and her cousins Julia and Jimmy. Olivia talks about Julia all the time, and says her extremely well. I think that she had a great time - she even taught Jimmy a new trick (how to open the office door). Aunt Kate was not very pleased with that lesson. :)

Olivia is getting so much personality and is so fun to interact with. She is very opinionated (I wonder where she got that). She will be 18 months old next week!

Here is a list of the words that she can say:
Mama, Daddy
Hi, Hello
Bye
Dog
Outside
Rusty
Shadow
Grammie
Papa
Papi
Julia
Kate
Meris (our friends' daughter - pronounced Mayis)
Please
Yes
NO!
Show (to watch Happy Feet)
Gloria & Mumble (characters in Happy Feet)
Read
Book
Marley (from her Marley & Me book)
Milk
Water
Food
Eat
Bite
Drink
Juice (not sure why - we don't give her juice)
Yuck!
Plane
Train
Duck
Snow
Hot
Cold
Cheerio (no "s" on the end - it's singular in her world)
cookie
I see you
Run
Baby
Guys (her Backyardigans are her guys)
Potty
Teeth
Ear
Head
Toes
Eyes
Nose
Mine (this is one of her favorites)

I think that's the list. It's really no wonder with us as parents that this little girl has so much to say! In two weeks, she'll have her 18 month checkup - so I'll have weight and height stats for you then. She has 11 teeth - and I can see 3 more that are trying to come through.

She is really the best thing that has ever happened to us! She brings us so much joy and satisfaction out of life. I am so blessed to have her for a daughter.

In other updates - Olivia has 2 new cousins (3rd cousins -but still cousins). My cousin Becky (and her husband Mike) gave birth to Kiera Meredith on December 28th (Great Grammie's birthday). Kiera weighed in at 9lbs 1 oz. My cousin Jeff's wife, Rachel, gave birth to Joshua Walters on January 14th. Joshua (also known as JoJo) weighed in at a whopping 10lbs 2 oz. Congrats ladies on the birth of your toddlers, I mean babies! :) WOW - babies that big are a whole new birth experience!

I'll work to get some more pictures up this weekend (I know her Northern Grandparents and her Southern Grandma are always itching for the most recent pictures).

See ya!

Olivia is constantly providing us great entertainment. She really likes to pretend like she is going to leave. She usually grabs a purse and announces "bye bye" and waves and then walks to the door. This week, she also put her hat on, and was telling us that she was going bye bye. In this picture, you can also see all the teeth that she's getting in. She now has 4 molars (two top, two bottom) and is getting in another tooth on the bottom.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

On New Year's Day, we woke up to a big snow storm! We got over a foot of snow, and it continued to snow and we got a few more inches. It was a lot of snow, but it was pretty! Travis shoveling a spot in the backyard for the dogs!
Our big tree

Happy New Year!

Olivia wants to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Here are a few pictures of Olivia from this week.
