Breakfast with Mrs. Claus

This morning we went to the museum for breakfast with Mrs. Claus. It was a mommy/daughter adventure! It was snowing quite a bit out this morning, so it made for an adventure!

Olivia enjoyed coloring as we waited for the breakfast to come out.
Olivia was excited to be there!
Olivia ate 4 pancakes, 2 sausage links, 2 smiley face hash browns and a cup of apple juice. I'm not sure where she put it all!

Olivia with Mrs. Claus in Santa's sleigh!

Can you guess what she's doing here? :)

The kids all went on stage to sing with Mrs. Claus. And she read a few stories to them!

Olivia was trying to show off to the older girls!

Getting a candy cane from Mrs. Claus!

Mommy & Olivia having a good time!

We had a great time! I think that we might make this an annual event!

She is her Aunt Kate's niece!

Tonight as Travis was putting Olivia to bed and reading books, he asked for another book, and she handed him a coupon from her Enchanted dvd. She said "read this book, Daddy". He said "it's not a book, it's a coupon". She said to him "Tell me about the coupon".

She is so funny!

Olivia's new talents!

Olivia figured out how to put her shirt on and take it off. So, she practiced taking it off a lot yesterday! She kept telling me she was hot!

Proud of her accomplishment!

This is how she wore it most of the evening! You'd think we just watched Flashdance!

And always a favorite.....ending the evening cuddling with Daddy! She is such a Daddy's girl!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

On Friday we decorated our Christmas tree. We didn't go out and do any shopping, but I did hit a few online sales early that morning! :) The crowds in the stores are a little too much for me.

Olivia started her day watching Tinkerbell (possibly for the 10th time this weekend)! She enjoyed a little picnic of ovals (Townhouse crackers), a leftover donut and some water! Of course whenever she has a snack, the dogs aren't too far away. They know that she is likely to drop something....or at least they hope!

Here is Olivia helping us decorate our tree. We made sure to put all the fun decorations she can play with at the bottom! She really likes to take them all off the tree and play with them.

Here is Daddy & Olivia!

She was even good enough to pose in front of the tree for me to take a few shots! She is such a ham and definitely our daughter!

The below picture is of her "excited" face. She does all the emotions for us! We didn't even have to ask her to show us this one! She loves the tree!

Before we got the decorating going, we decided to invite Great-Grammie over to watch us decorate. I always have such great memories of decorating at Grammie's house! When Grammie moved into her new place, she gave a lot of her Christmas decorations away to her family (she had a TON). I was fortunate enough to get a LOT of them! I think that she enjoyed seeing so many of her ornaments as they went onto our tree! She is always so glad to see others enjoying things that she enjoyed for so many years!
Here is a picture of Olivia pulling the string on the musical ball. This is a favorite of my childhood from Grammie's house. She received it as a gift from her friends, the Masters' while they were on vacation in Japan. It plays the First Noel. Olivia likes to pull the cord to make the music!
And a picture of Olivia with her Great Grammie! I think that they both had fun seeing one another!

Here is Olivia wearing the door bells on her ankles, walking through the house. And she's carrying the mistletoe, just so she gets kissed everywhere she goes!

Below is Olivia and Grammie, with the doll that Grammie got her for her birthday. It giggles - which is funny and creepy at the same time.

sick days

Last week Olivia and I were both sick! UGH!

We lounged around the house together and rested. Here is a pic of Liv in her "sick clothes" (aka, comfy clothes, pj bottoms and unmatching top).

She was having an apple party. My Grammie used to throw "apple parties" all the time and we always looked forward to them. Nothing much about an apple party, just eating an apple that is all cut up. Grammie did it best, she would sit with a bowl and apples and give them to you as she cut them. Here at lazy mom's house, we use the apple slicer and are done in 5 seconds flat!

This IS what it's all about!

Sorry for the lack of posting - my camera's batteries were dead, and a post without pictures just isn't as much fun!

Olivia has been fighting a cold for the last week. And is now running a temp. But on Sunday, we had a fun day playing around the house. Here she is singing the Hokey Pokey and dancing for us. She is so funny! She has worn her princess crown, sparkle shoes and carried her wand around a lot these last few days.

In the video she gets upset because Shadow's ear is flopped around - and she can't stand that - she thinks it's broken when it does that and we have to fix it right away! She's funny! Well, enjoy the little song and dance!

It snowed today!

UGH! Fall is officially over! It snowed today - YUCK!!! I hate winter....fall is my favorite, but it always turns into winter and that means snow. So, in order to help me live out my fall a little longer, I'm going to share pictures I took this week, when it was 70 degrees (almost all week). It was great - we played outside a bunch!

Here is Olivia talking on the phone with her dad!
