Go State!

Okay - these might be a little late - but better late then never. Here are a few pictures of Olivia and Travis from the week of the MSU vs. U of M game. Not a stellar game by the Spartans - but I will not comment.

Liv looks so darn cute in her MSU gear!

The blue eyed twins!
After Liv finished her lunch - she was being a ham (big surprise) so I started snapping shots of her being silly and cute!
This is the little naughty girl look - can't you just tell she's up to something?
And the sweet girl....
And last but not least...the silly girl!

Olivia's 15 month update

Sorry - no pictures right now, but I do intend to post a bunch of pictures that we have taken over the last few weeks - soon!

Yesterday Liv had her 15 month check-up. Her stats were:
22 lbs 10 oz - 49th percentile
31 1/2 inches tall - 88th percentile
It just occurred to me that we have always referred to her as being so long, and not tall, but I guess when they get to the point where they are more upright, they get to be tall and not long. So, sad. She is getting so big!
She is still using her signing and doing very well with it. Her newest word is Rammie (aka Grammie). She started this just a week ago or so. She has nature sounds on her CD player in her room. She has learned to take her little CD case/box and move it so that she can use it as a step to stand on to play with her CD player. When she gets to the nature sound of wind chimes - she stops and says "Rammie"! It is so cute, and then she sits and listens to the chimes. If we change it, she'll change it back to the chimes. Over the summer, she really enjoyed sitting with my mom in the swing in her back yard listening to the chimes.
We just thought this was so cute!
I'll post pictures over the weekend!

Halloween!

Well, our little chick loved Halloween! She enjoyed her school's parade in the morning and liked running around in her chicken costume! Liv got her first bite of candy last night, and she liked it! I figure we might as well corrupt her now - if we don't give her the first tastes now, her candy loving grammie will (if she hasn't already)!

Here are some pictures of Liv at the Halloween parade at school. She wasn't all that willing to let me get a great picture of her (actually this is getting harder and harder to do lately). So, some of the pictures are blurry - because she was moving so fast. But she really enjoyed it and loved her costume.

Here is Liv in the evening at Great Grammie C's place. She was so cute and couldn't wait to show off for all the residents!

And here she is giving kisses and hugs to Great Grammie!

Our Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Here are the photos from our trip to the pumpkin patch on Saturday. Travis and Olivia checking out the goats, chickens and ducks.
Olivia trying to pick out the perfect pumpkin!

She found a pumpkin that she liked, but it was too big to take home!

Liv really liked the animals.

Olivia checking out the big horses getting geared up for the hay rides.

The Beautician & the Beast!

This is what happens when Daddy tries to fix Miss Liv's hair!

Olivia's hair has been growing so much lately! So, Travis decided to see what it could do. I think that they were going for an "Ode to Elvis" type of a do.

Ready to Trick-or-Treat

Olivia got a new treat bag in the mail this week from Aunt Amy, Uncle Joel & cousin Brooke! She ran around the house with it and put her card inside.

We're really looking forward to Halloween this year!

The dishwasher bandit!

Last week, Travis and I were very busy gutting out our basement. For those of you who have seen it, it was finished back in the mid '80's when paneling was the hip thing to do. Now the walls are all down, and there is just big open space...and a toilet in the middle! :)

In the midst of our "renovations", we noticed another problem. Our dishwasher stopped working! It would run the load, but it stopped drying them. We knew that the dishwasher was getting old and that we'd have to replace it someday, but we weren't hoping to do so in the midst of another big project. Ugh, we were bummed! We even tried running the "dry" cycle again just to see what would happen....and nothing! Ugh!

So, I decided that we could still use it, we'd just have to dry the old way (gasp....by towel)! A few days passed and we continued to dry with towels and complain that our stinkin' dishwasher was broke! I got to thinking that dishwashers are made to choose to air dry, to save energy. I decided to go ahead and set the dishwasher to this option so that it wouldn't "short out" trying to dry. Much to my surprise...someone had already set it for me!

No, our dishwasher wasn't broken. But we've quickly learned that our 14 month old daughter is already starting to out-smart us. We've got a long road ahead!

Here are some pictures from today....and me catching her in the act!

She loves this baby-doll. She sleeps with her and carries her around with her after naps or when she wakes up. Her great-grammie C got it for her. Caught in action!
Red handed!
This face asks "Who me?"
Then this one says "Yeah...that's pretty funny stuff!"
