I wear my sunglasses at night!

When I came home from work last night - Olivia was in the tub finishing her bath. She had insisted on wearing her sunglasses!

She was so cute - I had to snap a few shots!

And in other fun news - Olivia is sprouting 4 new teeth! Her eye teeth are coming in! One has already broken through and another looked like it was just about ready to. The other two are just about there!

Father's Day

We spent Father's day at my sister's house and enjoyed family time. The kids play so well together and it's fantastic! They played for quite a while out on the swing set. Olivia really likes to go high on the swing now - she's getting so big.
Going high!

All three kids. Olivia is doing really well on the big-kid swing - but she can't go as high - or should I say - I can't handle her going very high yet.
I think that Olivia is doing "Wheels on the bus" here!
Travis is such a great dad! I could not ask for a better partner in this adventure. Olivia has her daddy wrapped right around her finger. He takes such great care of us! Since August - I've had a 40 minute commute for work (each way) and Travis has stepped right up and taken on so much! He gets Olivia up in the morning and takes her to daycare, he picks her up from daycare at the end of the day, gets her home, gives her a snack and starts dinner. I walk in the door and I get to play with my daughter, then eat dinner. He usually gives her a bath and then I put her to bed. Before we head to be he always packs Olivia's lunch for the next day. I'm lucky that he's so involved! Okay - I'll stop....but he is a great dad and a wonderful husband and friend!
Kate and her kids!
This one is my favorite of the three of them - I just LOVE Julia's face! :)
It started to rain after we spent some time outside. The kids had fun outside - here's Julia watching the rain come down!Olivia having a snack! She's getting so big!

This is what Olivia looks like most of the time - her hair is a wreck (and I just love this smile)! My mom and dad would probably say that she takes after me like this - when I was little, my mom would do my hair, send me out and 5 minutes later I'd come back a mess! Kate on the other hand would come back at the end of the day and not a hair would be out of place! :)

These two look like "What....I wasn't doing anything!?!?!?"
They were cute playing on the stairs together - and Olivia is getting so good at the stairs!
Julia reading quietly (just like Kate used to do).
Grammie reading to Julia.

Cookout, fireworks and fun with family!

Last weekend (yes, I realize that I'm a bit behind) we went to my sister's house for the weekend. They had a small summer-fest type of an event in their community with a parade and fireworks. We didn't do the parade with them, but we showed up in time for a cookout at their neighbor's house. We had a great time!

Below is a cute pic of Olivia (but aren't they all?)! Here is Olivia with her Papa (Lib's dad). He was leaving and she was giving kisses!
Here is Olivia scaling the slide! This girl is fearless!
Look Ma! No hands!
She LOVED the slide. We were going to wait until next year to get her a swing set and slide, but I'm sure she'd love to have one now!
Here is Travis, Olivia and Jimmy waiting for the fireworks to begin!
And here are the four of us!
Olivia was hugging Jimmy - so cute!
The kids like it when I take pictures of them with my camera and turn the viewfinder around so they can see themselves as I take pictures! They were too cute!

Hey Hey Good Lookin'

Here are a few pictures of Olivia in her sassy little outfit! She wore it to Grammie's last weekend to play with her cousins. She got this outfit for Christmas from her Grandma Betty.

Balloons

Last week, a co-worker had a birthday and she got balloons. Since she was heading out of town for the weekend, she had me take them home to Olivia. Olivia came in the door and was so excited to see them! She had so much fun playing with them! She also got a costume (of Uniqua - a backyardigan) from one of the gals at daycare. So, she wanted to wear the hat for that too!

Swimming in the pool!

Last week Olivia looked outside and asked to go swimming. We told her it was too cold still, but she didn't care. So, Travis bucked up and took her in - I was too chicken to get into the cold pool!

Below is Olivia sporting all her new summer gear - her new butterfly towel and swim cover-up.
Olivia and Daddy in the pool!
Olivia loved it! Travis thought it was incredibly cold, but Olivia had a blast!

Olivia had so much fun kicking in the water! Her swim lessons this spring really came in handy - because she couldn't wait to get in and kick!
Once Olivia was done, she played in the yard. She loves to collect rocks! She will gather as many as she can and then take them over to her water table to "wash" them. Then she takes them into her house and puts them in her sink!
Here is Olivia in her house, with her rocks and her "guests". She also likes to lock them in her house. She calls them in by saying "mere Rusty - mere Shadow" and then once they're in - she slams the door shut and giggles! She's a funny girl!

Spoiled Olivia

At the end of May, Olivia's Grandpa Fred & Grandma Sue came to visit for the weekend. As always they spoil Olivia with something new! She got a new Backyardigan's boat - which she bathes with every night.

Since she doesn't get to see them as often as she might like - we are always concerned on how long it will take for her to warm up to them. But this time, she warmed right up! She was excited to see them and even remembered their names. Sometimes she calls her Grandpa Fred - Grandma Fred - we always laugh and then Olivia does too!

Below is a picture of Olivia and her grandparents. Below is a picture of Olivia - and here I think that she looks a little more like me (for once).
This is what I got when I asked Olivia to smile big! :) I have so many pictures of me when I was this age - making the same face.

Lovin' on Grandma! Olivia had most fun with the bag that her gift came in.
And a picture of her burn on her lip. :(
And finally - a picture of Olivia and Mommy! We rarely ever get pictures of us together, since I'm usually behind the camera.
